Custom Tabs Assigned to Sub-Category Display on All Parent Category Products

Hi there,

I purchased the Custom Tabs Pro Plugin a while back and am finally just now setting up my shop. My question is: I have a category called Wetsuits, there are three different manufacturer wetsuits I am selling. So I’d like different standard tabs to show for each (for example the size information is different for each manufacturer of wetsuits)

Will you let me know how to go about this? I tried putting each line into different sub-categories of Wetsuits but that didn’t work, as the tabs assigned to each subcategory displayed on all the wetsuit products (even though the Wetsuit category was not selected). I really tried everything.

The only way I got it to somewhat work is by deleting the “wetsuit” category so that the three manufacturers are top level, then in this way the tabs assigned to one do not display on the other. But this isn’t so great because I can’t very easily display the products of “Wetsuit” on a page without selecting the product one-by-one.

Would really appreciate your help.

Thank you for you purchase.
This plugin can handle sub-categories.

Let’s say you have these settings:

PRODUCT CATEGORIES:
– Product Cat 1
— Product Cat 11 (sub category of Product Cat 1)
— Product Cat 12 (sub category of Product Cat 1)
– Product Car 2

PRODUCTS:
– Product A (matched to Product Cat 11)
– Product B (matched to Product Cat 12)

TAB TYPES:
– Tab 11 (matched to Product Cat 11, and Use for all products checkbox is cleared)
– Tab 12 (matched to Product Cat 12, and Use for all products checkbox is cleared)

If you edit Product A in Product Editor, you will have an edit box for Tab 11 (and not for Tab 12). On front-end product page you will see only Tab11.
And editing Product B, you will have an edit box for Tab 12 (but not for Tab 11). On front-end product page you will see only Tab 12.

Please try to set these settings, it has to be work. I have tested it successfully in our test environment.
