Hi, I’m new to WP and the new Google paid version offering.

Will this WP plugin work with Google’s Custom Search JSON API (the paid version without ads)?

Also, is the current plugin version compatible with WP version: 4.9.8?

Yes, it is compatible with WP 4.9.8.

Please send us a link to see where is the paid version of Google Search.
The paid version has been discontinued some years ago, and we have no information that Google has made the paid version available again.

Hi Peter,

I’m referring to Google’s JSON Custom Search API. I think it’s basically the free version but you use a parameter “key=yourAPIKey” to identify who you are. https://developers.google.com/custom-search/json-api/v1/introduction

Yes, the plugin is compatible with this, with the v1 version.
This is the standard Google Custom Search Engine API, a non-paid version.

Sorry, I missed my previous answer.
This plugin uses the “Custom Search Element Control API (v1)” and not the “Custom Search JSON API (v1)”.
